We are seeking an experienced, friendly, and professional Host/Hostess to join our team at a busy, upscale restaurant. The ideal candidate should have strong customer service skills, excellent organizational abilities, and experience managing reservations and seating arrangements in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of OpenTable reservation management and experience with Toast POS are highly preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesGreet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Manage reservations, walk-ins, waitlists, and seating arrangements using OpenTable.
Monitor table availability and maintain an efficient seating rotation.
Answer phone calls and assist guests with reservations and general inquiries.
Communicate effectively with servers, managers, and other team members.
Assist with takeout orders, payments, and transactions using Toast POS.
Accommodate special requests and handle guest concerns professionally.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand.
Ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy service periods.
Provide excellent hospitality and create a positive first impression for every guest.
Knowledge of OpenTable reservation management is highly preferred.
Experience with Toast POS is a plus.
Previous hosting experience in a full-service restaurant preferred.
Strong understanding of reservations, seating rotations, and restaurant operations.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable managing a busy host stand, knowledgeable about OpenTable, familiar with Toast POS, and capable of providing excellent guest service while coordinating with the restaurant team.
